How much does laminate flooring fitting cost?
Fitters usually price labour per square metre, then add for preparation. This page does not publish a pound figure. A number goes here only with a source and the date it was checked.
What changes the labour
- Floor area, often with a minimum charge for a small room.
- Taking up carpet, tiles or an old floor, plus disposal.
- Levelling an uneven concrete floor.
- Skirting boards, door trimming and threshold bars.
- Who supplies the boards: you, or the fitter.
What a good quote includes
- Labour and materials on separate lines.
- Underlay, and a damp-proof membrane where the base is concrete.
- The expansion gap and how the edges are finished.
- What happens to the old floor.
